The yearly and monthly memberships offer the same features and membership level, however the payment is just spread across 12 months if you choose monthly. The other difference between these memberships is the saving you receive from choosing a yearly payment, due to the reduced admin your overall yearly membership is reduced.
Pay as you go is our ‘turn up and play’ option, where you can come whenever you like as a visitor, we will happily add you to our monthly comms and ask you to come along, however you do not receive an option to take our extra monthly 4-Ball which you can use whenever you want, the 4-ball saving is HUGE compared to current green fees at the club and is only available to our members.
Golf has commonly been associated with business and sales meetings regularly take place on the course. Spending 4 hours playing golf with someone (especially in the format we play) allows you the chance to chat to your fellow players in a less formal environment and build a relationship which is not as rigid as the usual networking format. It allows for a stronger bond to be built and as a result you grow trust in your fellow members and want to work together.
Usually around half a day. Meet first thing, grab some breakfast, complete the formal meeting and then play golf. We tend to be finished by 3pm. Times may vary depending on the event you attend – if you need to shoot off for any reason though please let our leadership team know and we can accommodate you and place you in a group that helps maximise your day.
No you don’t need to be a professional golfer to attend. Our members vary in skills and years played and our format allows for competitive play for all levels of ability.
Yes of course, we are a welcoming group and are more than happy for employees of businesses to attend. However, we do insist that employees must have an influence on decision making or be a senior executive/management within the business. This is due to a number of our members being business owners and we encourage likeminded members who can discuss business opportunities and make decisions if needed.
No, there is no expectation on members to bring visitors or make a number of referrals each month. We feel that pressuring our members to complete a set of targets is not in the nature of how golf networking works and we leave the business to you. We provide a platform that allows our members to build relationships and pass work between each other/look for opportunities for their fellow member…we encourage business to be passed but will not judge your membership on this as a factor.
We hope that as a member of The Golf Connection you will enjoy the meetings and naturally invite visitors or bring clients along, however we do not expect or judge you on this. Enjoy the meetings, build a network and we know that business/connections will flow.
Yes, as part of our yearly or monthly membership package you get the opportunity to play an extra discounted 4 ball (separate to our meetings) any weekday each month at your club with guests of your choice. You can take whoever you want, just book a tee of time and you get a discounted 4-Ball (£25 PER GROUP, which would normally be around £120-160 PER GROUP) – a HUGE saving. Your 3 guests do not have to be members and there are no restrictions who you play your 4 ball with.
